It’s one of the reasons why this 80s basketball shoe became a fan-favourite sneaker outside the court. Designed by Bruce Kilgore, the 1982-born AF1 is the first Nike basketball shoe to use the patented Nike Air cushioning. Embedded within the rubber cupsole, Nike Air was Nike’s greatest cushioning system during that time. The Nike Air Force 1 first came as a High, with an ankle strap for lockdown. A Low version soon followed, and the Mid arrived in the 90s. This colourway features a white pebbled leather base with tan suede overlays. Navy blue accents cover the pebbled leather Swoosh and heel panel. Yellow colours comprise the embroidered Swoosh near the forefoot, lace dubrae, and debossed Nike labels on the tongue and heel. Jersey mesh makes up the tongue for more ventilation.
