Nike KD 16 “NY vs. NY” Burgundy Gold

Kevin Durant kicked off the 2023 NBA Playoffs by debuting his his sixteenth signature shoe, the KD 16, during the first round against the LA Clippers. During the series, Durant also gave us a first look at the upcoming Nike KD 16 “NY vs. NY” colorway that nods to Nike’s yearly high school summer basketball tournament for New York City’s five boroughs.

This Nike KD 16 comes with Red across the upper, a tribute to the Big Apple with White detailing and Metallic Gold accents on the Swoosh logos, “NY vs. NY” tongues, and “Easy” logo on the heels.

Constructed with a textured multi-layer upper, synthetic mudguards that wraps the shoes, and comes in a low-cut build with darker shades of red streaking across. A gold trim arrives atop the luxe nubuck mudguard, while the heel Swoosh is coated in metallic gold. A soft cream is utilized on the laces, collar lining and outsole, providing a visual contrast that screams elegance.

The model itself also features a new TPU caging system featuring ventilation on both lateral and medials sides as well as blending onto the forefoot’s split midsole. Zoom Air cushioning underfoot completes the design.
